I for one am incredibly excited about getting to do Jesus Christ Superstar in just over a week. It has been my favourite musical since I played the drums for it 12 years ago and I’ve been wanting to do it again ever since! The opportunity to spend a week rehearsing and performing it with gaffertape is very special and I know it’s going to be an incredibly memorable week.
Everyone’s in full preparation mode now (except for Chris but we’ll let him off because he’s honeymooning in Italy) writing schedules, making door signs, creating dances, learning music, making up words to songs… well, maybe that last one isn’t going to help but it’s all part of the magic of Theatre Week.
If you’re coming, we can’t wait for you to be part of the week. If you’re free on 5th or 6th August, come and see one of the performances (7:30pm and 2:30pm respectively, The Cripps Hall, Northampton). We can guarantee it’ll be the most unique version of Jesus Christ Superstar you’ve ever seen with the most energetic and enthusiastic cast, because that’s the gaffertape way.
My son and I came to see Jesus Christ Superstar today. It was amazing. It was professional and full of emotion and just brilliant. We cannot believe that you achieve such a high standard in a week. We have seen other productions you have done and always been impressed, but this, I think was even slicker!!
You are all fantastic and I hope that Crossways continues so you can keep doing such brilliant productions. What a talented family the Flints are- Judas and Jesus were inspirational.
