We’re on Day 3 and have a cast, costumes and moody poses. Over half way there I’d say.

I for one am incredibly excited about getting to do Jesus Christ Superstar in just over a week. It has been my favourite musical since I played the drums for it 12 years ago and I’ve been wanting to do it again ever since! The opportunity to spend a week rehearsing and performing it with gaffertape is very special and I know it’s going to be an incredibly memorable week.

Everyone’s in full preparation mode now (except for Chris but we’ll let him off because he’s honeymooning in Italy) writing schedules, making door signs, creating dances, learning music, making up words to songs… well, maybe that last one isn’t going to help but it’s all part of the magic of Theatre Week.

If you’re coming, we can’t wait for you to be part of the week. If you’re free on 5^th or 6^th August, come and see one of the performances (7:30pm and 2:30pm respectively, The Cripps Hall, Northampton). We can guarantee it’ll be the most unique version of Jesus Christ Superstar you’ve ever seen with the most energetic and enthusiastic cast, because that’s the gaffertape way.

I’ve just started looking through the music for Jesus Christ Superstar and am so excited I thought I’d post my first ever message on here…

JCS was my first ever outing with Faith, hope and gaffertape back in 1999 and I was just a participant who was extremely apprehensive about what to expect from the week. I settled into the week immediately though and had the most amazing time – I’ve been involved in every Theatre Week since! It was also the event back in 1999 where I first met Caroline, my wife, and Chris, my fellow director.

It was an unforgettable week (as theatre week always is) and I’m looking forward to another one this Summer.

Hope to see you there – get those booking forms in fast!

At Theatre Week 2011, Faith, hope & gaffertape is very proud (and excited!) to be doing none other than…

This was the only show all 4 Faith, hope & gaffertape directors took part in and we have been wanting to put it on since we took on gaffertape 8 years ago. It’s a dream come true to have the opportunity to stage this musical and we hope it’s just as exciting for this year’s participants and audience members.
